Myers Investigative and Security Services Contract (Limited Distribution) (A-08-09-19107)

Our objectives were to determine whether (1) Myers Investigative and Security Services Incorporated (Myers) complied with the contract terms and conditions and (2) Social Security Administration (SSA) personnel properly monitored the contract.

Our review found Myers did not always comply with contract terms and conditions. We believe most of the conditions we found could have been prevented or remedied earlier if SSA had better monitored the contractor’s performance. Based on these serious noncompliance issues, we believe SSA needs to strengthen its oversight of the Myers contract to ensure full compliance with contract terms and conditions. SSA agreed with our recommendations.
